Consumer policy

To protect consumers from danger and empower them in their daily lives, viable consumer-policy institutions and structures are necessary. These include both legislative and executive institutions that can effectively enforce consumer rights and that consumers can turn to when problems arise.

We advise our clients on how the institutional framework in consumer policy should be developed and shaped so that the goals of consumer protection are achieved effectively and efficiently. In particular, we consider the respective strengths and weaknesses of state and civil society institutions as well as international experiences.
