At the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA), which is taking place from September 1st until September 6th, 2017 in Berlin, the project PGuard presents its app-prototype, DATENSCHUTZscanner (privacy scanner). Since the Deutsche Telekom AG advocates privacy-enhancing and consumer-friendly technologies and regards the DATENSCHUTZscanner to be an especially successful solution, the presentation will take place at the IFA exhibition stand of Deutsche Telekom AG in hall 21a.
The DATENSCHUTZscanner is an app, that informs consumers about the handling of personal data within apps. In addition, the DATENSCHUTZscanner guides users on how to change data processing according to their privacy preferences.
The project is funded until June 2018 by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. ConPolicy director Prof. Dr. Christian Thorun and project manager Dr. Sara Elisa Kettner are involved on behalf of Quadriga University of Applied Sciences.
