Ethical literacy is everyone's concern. A digital and media ethical compass keeps us on track in a more responsible, enlightened digital society—particularly in times when complex issues quickly unsettle people (pandemics, polarisation, threat of war, the climate, surveillance, internet hatred, etc.). Journalists are observers. They inform, offer opportunities to discuss current topics and they classify. They are also affected by many present societal changes. This book reflects on both stable as well as changing standards of values and proceeds systematically using concrete examples. It is aimed at students, journalists, researchers and all others interested in this topic.
