The digitization of the economy and society poses new challenges for consumer law. Does a digital economy and society need Consumer Rights 2.0? Consumer law that is designed for the specific legal issues? The answer is yes. It follows inevitably from the stock-taking of the legal situation regarding consumer algorithms, online platforms, the sharing economy, consumer data protection, the IoT as well as legal questions of the law enforcement. It encompasses the need to put the data collection of consumer disputes on a solid footing and to study the possibilities and limitations of regulation through technology.
