Access to consumer rights ConPolicy presents and publishes new study

Legal rights with regard to withdrawal, guarantees or prices should protect consumer. Yet even the best rights are without impact if consumers do know them or if they do not use them when needed.

Commissioned by the Consumer Protection Ministry of North-Rhine-Westphalia (MKULNV) ConPolicy investigated the question how well consumers in North- Rhine-Westphalia are informed about their rights and whether they are using them. Today the study results were presented and published within the context of a conference organized by the Ministry in Düsseldorf.

The conference was opened by State Secretary Peter Knitsch. Furthermore, Wolfgang Schuldzinski, Executive Director of the NRW Consumer Advice Center, Helga Springeneer, Director at the German Federal Ministry for Justice and Consumer Protection as well as Alwin Buddenkotte, Executive Director at the NGO SKM participated at the podium discussion.

The German version of the study can be found here.
