At the end of last week the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals. Goal Nr. 12 aims at fostering sustainable production and consumption. In this context eco-marks play an important role. In Germany, the Blue Angel plays a pivotal role in this area. A consumer survey showed that 92 % of Germans know the Blue Angel. – Is it therefore time to relax or should this success be used as a starting point for even more activities?
The parliamentary evening organized by the Blue Engel aimed at addressing these questions. Here, Minister Dr Hermann Aeikens from Saxony-Anhalt, the President of the Federal Environment Agency Maria Krautzberger and Prof Dr Edda Müller, Vice-Chairman of the Jury Umweltzeichen, engaged in the debate. ConPolicy-Director Prof Dr Christian Thorun moderated the evening.
