ConPolicy highlights key requirements for the new Advisory Body for Consumer Policy in a FES-WISO direkt

Scientific advisory bodies play an important role in many policy areas in Germany. The Great Coalition has announced to establish a new advisory body for consumer policy to improve the evidence- and theory-base of consumer policy. Dr Jana Diels and Prof Dr Christian Thorun from the Institute of Consumer Policy highlight key requirements that should be respected in the establishment of this new body to make it a success. The recommendations are based on an analysis of the success factors of existing advisory bodies. The paper was published by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in form of a WISO direkt.
