German G7 PresidencyConPolicy director moderates international Stakeholder Conference

Consumers have a growing interest in sustainable products and services. However, there exists a discrepancy between consumer attitudes and what they eventually do. Labels are meant to support consumers in recognizing sustainable products. Yet the variety and complexity of current labels leave consumers rather confused than informed.

At today’s G7 international Stakeholder Conference for global sustainable supply chains in Berlin, ConPolicy Director, Prof. Dr. Christian Thorun, moderates a forum regarding the empowerment of consumers towards informed and sustainable consumption decisions. Among others Gerd Billen (State Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection), Gunther Beger (Director General, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) and Christel Weller-Molongua (Head of Department, Rural Development and Agriculture, GIZ) participate in the discussion.
