In the so-called 'Sharing Economy' individual property becomes less important for the use of resources and services. Instead, people fall back on lending, rental or leasing offers and no longer needed objects are given away for free, sold or swapped. However, the knowledge of users and their user experiences and motives are incomplete. This article seeks to expand the awareness on the relevance and scope of the Sharing Economy in Germany.
