This policy paper concludes the project 'Digitization of markets and lifestyles: New challenges for sustainable consumption' and is part of the BMUV's lighthouse initiative 'Ways and building blocks of a digital agenda for sustainable consumption'. The project conducted four pilots in the topic area that are not part of this report. This report illustrates the different levels of interplay between digitalization and sustainable consumption. From this perspective, starting points for political measures to exploit opportunities and avoid risks are formulated.
