During the last months a wide range of topics relating to livestock production reached the public agenda: Questions about animal husbandry and animal protection, the use of pharmaceuticals, the amount of meat consumption in the context of a growing world population and the areal concentration of livestock production are heatedly debated.
Against this backdrop and in the context of its Dialogue Forum 2015, the REWE Group invited experts from academia and animal protection to debate how animal welfare could best be defined and what should be done by whom to improve animal welfare in livestock production. ConPolicy Director Prof Dr Christian Thorun moderated the expert forum.
