Consumer environments are constantly changing, thereby continuously posing new challenges to consumer policy. At the International Conference on Consumer Research held by the Competence Center of Consumer Research North Rhine-Westphalia on 29-30 September, national and international researchers present findings in consumer research and discuss implications with representatives from politics and civil society.
ConPolicy-Director Prof Dr Christian Thorun moderates the round-table discussion on “Challenges of European consumer policy in the 21st century“. Participants of the discussion are Ulrich Kelber (Parliamentary State Secretary) , Peter Knitsch (State Secretary Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection NRW), Dr Stephan Koppelberg (Head of the EU Commission Office in Bonn), Klaus Müller (Chairman VZBV), Ursula Pachl (Deputy Director General BEUC), Miriam Schneider (Senior Advisor EU-Food law and consumer policy HDE).
