For the project Abida (Assessing Big Data) ConPolicy and Stiftung Neue Verantwortung conduct a study about big data in the area of home and leisure with a focus on smart living.
The project aims at giving an overview on data-driven smart living technologies. Therefore, an analysis of different smart living technologies will be provided and relevant market participants and their impact will be identified. Additionally, the report considers the providers’ handling of user data as well as consequences. For this purpose, aspects such as user-profiling, privacy and IT-security are investigated in more detail. In conclusion, the report will consider solutions and policy recommendations for handling big data and smart living technologies in the future.
Next to a systematic literature review and clustering of different technologies, expert interviews as well as expert workshops will be conducted.
