The interests of consumers versus employees  can differ fundamentally. While some want to buy as cheaply as possible, working conditions are of great importance to others. A survey of consumers from an information-economic perspective illustrates that this potential tension is largely due to the fact that consumers are unable to recognize "good work". Consumer policy could be applied in this area and thereby create more market transparency.
