Today press relations officers and spokespersons not only need to know how to communicate with classical media, but also how to address critical stakeholders in the Internet. The online seminar “Digital Public Affairs” gives an introduction into the risks and opportunities of communicating via the Internet and social media networks. By presenting best case examples, the e-learning seminar shows how Digital Public Affairs can be successfully implemented.
The seminar is presented by the Quadriga Academy Berlin in English and German. It will be hosted by Wolfgang Hennes, Director of SELLGATE Hamburg, and Dr Christian Thorun, Director of ConPolicy GmbH. Together they offer social network analyses. Further information can be found here.
The online seminar will be given from 17 November until the 15th of December 2011 in five modules:
1st: Introducing Digital Public Affairs
2nd: Tools and Instruments of Digital Public Affairs
3rd: Strategy development
4th: Case Study: Google Co:llaboratory
5th: Summary and Best practices
The 4th module will be given by Sebastian Haselbeck. He is Community Manager and will talk about Google’s experiences in digital public affairs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and American Studies from the University of Regensburg. Since 2009 he has focused on topics such as open government as well as public sector modernization.
